The beautiful White Tiger cub is extremely rare, occurring in 1 in 10,000 births; it is a variant of the Bengal and Siberian tigers. The White Tiger Cub has the black stripes of a tiger but a white coat instead of orange, caused by the lack of a pigment.
While there are currently no white tigers in the wild, 200 are in captivity. Tiger cubs have their baby teeth break through at the age of two weeks and start eating meat at eight weeks old. Cubs start hunting independently at age 11 months and become fully independent at 18-20 months.
