The Saltriovenator lived in Northern Italy in the Early Jurassic period, around 199-197 million years ago, and lived in an ancient beach environment.
It was a carnivorous dinosaur and its name means 'Saltrio hunter.' It is believed to have grown up to 8 metres long and is the largest known carnivore of the early Jurassic era.
